Ok now here is my story:

1.) I scored couple of 620 dmg hits on Jackal prior to our little engagement against Jackal at 82KM away, so yes I had the long range setup on.
Also my setup was more of a fleet support setup, than a 1vs1 PvP setup, I mean do you seriously think I would PvP someone in a scorpion without any ECM ? lol
A scorp has no chance against a tempest without any ECM, the fact is: Tempest can have more stamina and more firepower, I know this since Tempest is my primary ship.

2.) When you warp to a gang member you can't choose the distance you are warping in at, so when you warp in you will be closer than 15KM to the target, in this case short range setup works the best. Which is exacly what Jackal had on, I beleive he used 800mms or Autocannons, they were not the 1400mms for sure.
So yes it was a trap.

3.) Most important is to pay close attention to the chat log:
We never agreed on 1vs1, he asked for trouble, did I lie? I said I was going to fight him... which did not mean I Was going to be alone. Is it my faut someone is stupid and how does that make this kill less honorable than any other kill.

1. I don't know of any fleet support setup on a scorp apart from ecm, except maybe sensor dampners.

2. If you knew it would be around a 15k fight why fight with long range gear on, unless u all agreed to warp in and gank him prior to starting the fight

3. he plainly says Anyone wanna fight, not Presido wanna fight, so he was not necessarily challenging you or a scorpion and was not necessarily set up to fight a scorpion.

When a corporation the size of evol has their entire corp in one place all the time the only way to disrupt them is by brute force. Brute force = lots of ships = lag / bang / die.

1. Evol arnt confined anywhere, let alone BKG.

2. The Full force of Evol aint in Venal, as some PA members can confirm who was in Kadur Prime the other day, the same as the Full Force of PA arnt in Venal.

The bottom line is this is a *** tactic whoever you are, whether you are PA, CA, SA or Evolution and you guys should be ashamed of yourself.
